CHARLELIE COUTURE

Graduated from L’Ecole des Beaux Arts de Nancy, CharlElieis a well known artist in the French music world. He decided to move to New York some years ago to pursue the other strands of his “multism” career; seeking interconnections between different forms of expression such as photography, music, sculpture and painting. The work of CharlElie is first and foremost a reflection about human being, and the different layers of the personality. The formal aspect of his expression is a very coded urban mix, combining photo and painting. CharlElie’s work is very much a reflection of New York and of a person’s place amongst the towering landscape of this vibrant city. He looks passed the mask that the person presents to the world.
